If a zap carries malware, a scam, stolen work, threats, or illegal material, point us to it. Reports reach a person. Serious harm jumps the queue.
Send us the signal
Email [Support Email]. Include enough for us to find the zap and understand the risk:
- The zap link or transfer ID.
- A plain description of what is wrong and why it may be harmful.
- Useful context, such as the message, site, or account that delivered the link.
You do not need to open or download a suspicious file. Please do not test malware for us.
What happens next
We review the report, compare the zap with our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law, and can disable the link, remove the file, block related activity, or preserve evidence. Zaps already have short lives, but we will not wait for the timer when a link is causing harm.
Content involving the exploitation or endangerment of minors is escalated, preserved where required, and reported to the appropriate authorities.
Copyright has its own route
Claims about copyrighted work need the notices and statements required by law. Use the DMCA & Copyright page rather than this general abuse route.
What you can expect
We triage by severity and act as quickly as the facts allow. Privacy and investigation limits mean we may not be able to give you a detailed result or individual reply. The report is still read.
Good-faith reports are welcome
You will not get in trouble for a sincere report that turns out to be mistaken. Knowingly false reports used to disrupt a legitimate zap may violate our terms.
